Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Product Updates

With healthcare renewals and open enrollment looming in the fourth quarter, BCBSM recently shared new enhancements to their mental health and fertility benefit offerings.
On July 15, 2022, BCBSM introduced a new in-network behavioral health provider platform, AbleTo. AbleTo adds more than 2,000 therapists to the Blues network, expanding access in all 50 states for groups that have not carved out behavioral health or telehealth benefits. AbleTo is a high-quality, technology-enabled virtual provider that offers a structured Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, or CBT, program, enhanced with digital tools. AbleTo provides employees with the opportunity to have a one-on-one session with a licensed therapist for 8 weeks.
CBT is recommended to treat anxiety and depression, the most common behavioral health conditions. AbleTo is available to Blue Cross and BCN plans, for both fully-insured and self-funded groups. Click here for more information on AbleTo.
Additionally, BCBSM recently published more information on their fertility benefit offering, including the Family Building & Maternity Program for self-funded clients. In this white paper, BCBSM explores market trends, current coverage, cost of treatment and future considerations for fertility benefits.
